Fire Station Upgrades for Regulatory Compliance and Efficiency Measures

Nordri worked with the Rescue and Fire Fighting Service to review the compliance of the existing Fire Station building and to consider any energy efficiency options.  As an outcome, there were three distinct measures which were implemented.

Fire Alarm Installation – A commercial, open-source fire alarm system was designed and installed, integrating into the on-site fire detecting systems, consisting of call points, smoke and heat detectors and sounder beacons.

Fire Bay Markings – Due to poor paint adhesion it was proposed to upgrade the fire bay area with ultra-heavy duty floor tiles, this gave the required markings for safety as well also a non-slip, easy to wash and low maintenance surface.

LED Light Upgrade – The fire bay was upgraded from ageing fluorescent fittings to suspended polycarbonate LED baton fittings, eliminating maintenance costs and reducing both energy costs and carbon footprint.
