Fetlar ferry Terminal Repairs & Upgrades

Nordri attended site at short notice to do urgent repairs to the ferry linkspan to allow the ferry to keep running. After some hydraulic system fault finding it was found an accumulator needed replaced, which Nordri took the lead on and got fitted during gaps in the ferry timetable without any disruption to service.

While doing the initial breakdown repairs various issues with the hydraulic and control system were discovered. Nordri proposed a schedule of works to repair these problems and bring the whole site back up to a better standard of repair. This included oil and filter changes, new gaskets, seals, modifications and replacement brackets for components. Again all work was done during natural breaks to the timetable to avoid any downtime. Reports of work completed was accurately communicated to the SIC maintenance dept.
